Southern Wood Chips, Inc. is a chipmill located in Jasper, Alabama.  Our primary business is the production of pine and hardwood chips for the paper industry.  Southern Wood Chips produced its first chip in 1993 and has since been a mainstay in the local economy providing jobs to area’s residents both directly and indirectly. The mill operates at an approximate capacity of one half million tons per year.  Chips are loaded to both truck and rail and delivered to several different mills around the North Alabama region.
